Raining Diamonds came from a place of looking up and not quite knowing what I was looking for.
At that time, I was thinking a lot about possibility... the kind that feels both exhilarating and destabilising. The sense that life could expand in any direction, but without a clear map of how to get there. There was excitement in that, but also doubt. The question underneath the song wasn’t just “what’s out there?” It was “do I already carry what I’m searching for?”
The image of diamonds forming under pressure felt like a metaphor for that tension. Something beautiful emerging from intensity, from uncertainty, from conditions you wouldn’t choose but have to move through. The music leans into that sense of scale — wide, celestial, reaching — while the lyrics keep circling back to the inner world. Infinity above, infinity within.
This song holds a version of me standing at the edge of something bigger than I could name. Not certain. Not settled. Just aware that growth often begins in that space between awe and doubt... where you’re small enough to feel the vastness, but brave enough to keep looking anyway.
